PNB-Oriental Royal Mediclaim Policy
PNB-Oriental Royal Mediclaim Policy is a specially designed for Punjab National Bank Account Holders/Employees. It comes with a family floater which includes the proposer (PNB Account Holder/Employee), spouse and two dependent children above 3 months and up to 26 years of age. Female child is covered until she is married. The minimum sum insured is Rs.1,00,000/- and maximum is Rs.5,00,000/-
This mediclaim covers hospitalization expenses for any illness/diseases or injury. The expenses includes such as room, boarding, nursing expenses up to 1% of the sum insured or Rs.5000/- per day and ICU expenses up to 2% of the sum insured or Rs.10000/- per day. It also includes Surgeon/
Anesthetists/Medical Practitioner/Consultant/Specialist fees, Anesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, Operation Theatre Charges, Cost of Medicines and Drugs, Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Artificial Limbs, Laboratory/Diagnostic Tests, X-ray, Surgical Appliances, Pacemaker, etc. Pre and post hospitalization expenses are covered up to 30 days prior and up to 60 days after hospitalization.
The policy also covers domiciliary hospitalization, if insured patient can not moved to the hospital/nursing home or due to lack of accommodation in any hospital/nursing home. A day care procedures/surgeries are covered which do not required more than 24 hours of hospitalization. Ambulance charges are covered up to 1% of sum insured or Rs.1000/-. A daily hospital cash benefit is provided to cover the incidental expenses during hospitalization period, subject to a maximum of Rs.1,000/- during the policy period.
The main feature is that it reimburse the funeral expenses. In the event of death of the insured, the company pays actual funeral expenses, subject to a maximum of Rs.1,000/-. It covers cost of health check up once in a block of 4 continuous claim free years. Ccashless hospitalization service is provided at network hospitals through the TPA.
